Hillsborough, NC - Our Town
The benefits of living and working in our small town community are countless. On the National Register of Historic Places, our town is a rich repository of homes, churches, schools, and other structures from the late 18th and 19th centuries, making Hillsborough a natural tourist destination. While other historical towns rely on tourism, Hillsborough has bridged the centuries quite nicely with many residents living and working here. Not only is Hillsborough the Seat for Orange County, the town also has a thriving business community. The quiet community is a haven for artists and writers. Centrally located in North Carolina, with fast access to the Triad and other Triangle cities, commercial businesses like ours can quickly and efficiently work with our customers. We love our town, and are proud to support our community.
Community engagement is essential for a small town's success. The Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber creates opportunities for community members to get involved, and Mechanical Solutions, Inc. has been an active member of the Chamber for many years. Members of our staff volunteer on the Education, Economic Development, and Golf Classic committees.
HYAA is our local recreation ball organization and Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is proud to have sponsored many HYAA teams over the years. This association is dedicated to providing a place for kids to have fun and be safe while playing softball and baseball.
Alliance for Historic Hillsborough
The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough is an excellent resource to learn more about Hillsborough! They share information about the "happenings' in our community, and provide education and preservation of Hillsborough's rich historical traditions.
Orange County Community Players
We support the arts in Hillsborough through our community theater organization, Orange Community Players. Members of our staff and their families have been involved in many productions, and we are happy to have such a wonderful group of entertainers in our back yard!
Rotary Club
Our local Hillsborough Rotary Club consists of neighbors and community leaders focused on service before self. The club is committed to end polio, and sponsors a Globalrun4water and pancake supper to raise money for high school scholarships. Meetings are at 7 am Thursdays at the Village Diner. Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is proud to support our local Rotary Club.
Victory Junction
Victory Junction enriches the lives of children with serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, at no cost to children or their families. Mechanical Solutions, Inc. has proudly provided mobile dialysis solutions for the camp to enable kids dealing with kidney disease a life-changing camp experience.
